Diaspora engagement submission to DFA

Our recent submission to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Review of Ireland’s Engagement with the Diaspora focused on three main areas – Connecting with the Irish abroad, Understanding the needs of different emigrant and Diaspora communities overseas, and Returning emigrants.

In it we make various recommendations on Presidential and Parliamentary Voting Rights, an Irish Emigrant Register, enhanced networking between Irish support organisations abroad, and access to homeless services for both deportees and returning Irish Emigrants.
