NEW Irish Integration Strategy

In March 2014 the Irish Government announced it is developing a new Integration Strategy to promote the integration of migrant communities in Ireland. Crosscare Migrant Project, together with our Refugee Service and Housing and Welfare Infomation service made a submission to the Cross Departmental Group responsible for reviewing Ireland’s current integration activities and developing a new Integration Strategy for Ireland.

Our submission is based on our collective experience of working with marginalised migrants, and makes recommendations focussing on specifc areas including language and cultural issues, cultural awareness, housing and homelessness, direct provision, the immigration system, non-EEA students, political integration and social protection.
