New Irish Diaspora Support Project

We are delighted to announce a new specialised project for our important work with Ireland’s Diaspora Communities.

We are developing a dedicated project supporting Irish people abroad and those planning to emigrate called Crosscare Irish Diaspora Support Project.

This new project has grown from the work that Crosscare Migrant Project has carried out over the last 15 years with members of Ireland’s Diaspora, thanks to funding from the Government of Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

Our new logo

We’re excited to introduce our original logo to support this new project. The graphic in our new logo represents a dandelion. Dandelions are one of Ireland’s most successful wildflowers, growing almost everywhere thanks to their pappus. We see the dandelion as representative of our Irish Diaspora, who have made their homes the world over.

Upcoming changes

Over the coming months, we’ll be working towards launching a new website with targeted information for Irish people moving abroad and those coming home to Ireland. We will have an exciting calendar of webinars, training and events. Our social media handles will also change as we share unique and engaging content with our audiences worldwide. Shortly, you’ll see a few new faces on the team, including a Communications Officer.

Our achievements

The important immigration-related support we provide to migrant communities in Ireland will continue under Crosscare Migrant Project.

We’re proud of what we have achieved together, especially the positive outcomes for our shared client groups through individual advocacy and joint social policy initiatives.

Special thanks

Thank you to the Irish Abroad Unit of the Department of Foreign Affairs, for all their assistance as we develop our new project.

Thanks also to Irish in Britain, the Coalition of Irish Immigration Centers, the Irish Support Agency NSW, the Irish Canadian Immigration Centre, Safe Home Ireland, and the Irish Council for Prisoners Overseas for providing us with invaluable feedback as we develop our new strategy.
